A number of premade produce cleaners are already on the market, but I have never found one that works as well as this. I’ve shared this recipe with many patients. They, too, find it to be an excellent cleaner for removing fine dirt, dust, wax, and tiny insects that are difficult to get rid of using water alone.
Ingredients:
- 1/3 cup white vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sea salt
Directions:
1. Fill a sink or large bowl with fresh, cold water.
2. Add vinegar and salt, and stir to mix well.
3. Put fruit or vegetables in the water, and let them sit for about half an hour.
4. Rinse with fresh, cold water, and prepare the produce according to your favorite method.
